POLICE LOG for June 21 Crackdown On Texting While Driving Environmental Police

first_imgWILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, June 21, 2018:Animal Control Officer notifies Environmental Police of bear sighting in woods behind Town Park (Aprile Field) by resident on Wednesday. Environmental Police will monitor area. (7:39am)Police issued 5 citations for texting while driving on Middlesex Avenue and Main Street. (8:37am-9:30am)Police out with a vehicle parked on side of road on Eames Street. Police found a family walking along the train tracks. Police advised them to stay off tracks. (12:29pm)A Salem Street caller reported a scam call. (5:48pm)Manager at Red Heat Tavern reported two patrons on patio witnessed a hit and run. Police responded. (6:54pm)NOTE: 3 arrests were noted in police log, but information was redacted. 2 arrests took place at 1:41pm.
