Uniline official travel agency of the European Handball Championship, continued development of the concept “one stop sport travel company

first_imgSports tourism, with its three components – tourism of sporting events, tourism of sports memories and active sports tourism – and an annual volume of 660 to 700 billion dollars, is one of the fastest growing selective forms of tourism in the world.Certainly, sports tourism is one of the niches that can and must extend the tourist season, especially because we have all the prerequisites, from a pleasant Mediterranean climate, connectivity, to global sporting success in both individual and team sports, and thus meet athletes as excellent ambassadors of our tourism. All the potentials of sports tourism in Croatia have been recognized by Uniline, the largest Croatian tour operator, through which tens of thousands of users of these services pass annually – from competitors, coaches to fans – and about twenty renowned sports federations and clubs.Due to the dynamic growth of sports tourism in Uniline, they started with a new business model as a solution for year-round and sustainable tourism. As Goran Sprem, CEO of Uniline for sports and corporate tourism, points out, their goal is to become a “one stop sport travel company” active on a 24/7 basis, ie available to clients every day and at any time. ” We see the future of this business in the systematic and continuous expansion of services and the creation of new business models in which we seek rational and cost-effective solutions for athletes, federations and clubs and their fans and guests through our specific know-how we have developed – from organizing sports development camps for all ages to the sports preparatory part and, if necessary, preparatory and competitive segments with accompanying services”Šprem points out and adds that sports tourism as one of the optimal forms of year-round business can significantly contribute to further diversification and sustainability of Croatian tourism.Uniline is the official travel agency of the European Handball ChampionshipIt is in this direction that Uniline started cooperating with the Croatian Handball Federation, and they became the official travel agency of the European Handball Championship, which will take place from 12 to 28.01.2018 January XNUMX. held in Croatia in Zagreb, Split, Poreč and Varaždin. “Uniline’s team on the EURO 2018 project has more than 80 people, of which about 30 are tourism specialists and a team with more than 50 drivers” said Ranko Petrović, Executive Director of Europcar and Uniline Logistics, at the same time the leading man of the operational team. Uniline team takes care of accommodation and transfer of EURO participants with a fleet of 50 cars and 25 buses for more than 1.200 officials of the championship, especially 500 athletes from 16 European countries, and then members of professional teams and sports officials of individual national federations, European handball federations (EHF), media representatives and sponsors, as well as the group arrivals of thousands of foreign fans.Sports tourism, with its three components – tourism of sports events, tourism of sports memories and active sports tourism – and an annual volume of 660 to 700 billion dollars, which participates with 14% in the world tourism cake, experts predict extremely dynamic growth in the next ten years. And how important such sports events are, especially when they are organized in the pre- or post-season, is sufficiently shown by the fact that at the very beginning of the year EURO 2018 will realize more than 25.000 overnight stays.Uniline sees the future of this business in the systematic and continuous expansion of services and the creation of new business models in the form of rational and cost-effective solutions for athletes, clubs and federations and their fans and guests through their own specific know-how – from organizing sports development camps for all ages preparation and, if necessary, other preparatory and competitive segments with accompanying services.last_img read more
