This is my 37th year of doing something with WRBI. I started out doing interviewing of basketball players, and this led to play-by-play and/or color commentary. Also, during this time, I started Coaches Corner. In later years, Ron Green asked me to write a blog for the Internet which is what you are reading now.It is very unusual to have the same boss for 37 years. Working for Ron Green has been very enjoyable. Some of my favorite things to do are the interviews with all the local coaches. A few years ago, many of the coaches started bringing their senior athletes to the show, and this always makes for a fun interview. Being able to bring special guests to the show every year also is a lot of fun. I have been able to interview some local sports legends, area personalities such as Bob Lovell, and Dyar Miller (a former major league pitcher) has made several appearances on the show.Through the years I have interviewed most of the members of the 1954 Milan Indians. Not only have I interviewed Glen Butte, but I had him as a partner in basketball broadcasting for several years. Glen now helps me with information for articles for Huddle Up. Huddle Up allows me to voice my opinion on a wide variety of subjects. As long as I stay healthy, I hope to continue with this association with WRBI.
